Lillee Jean Trueman and Executive Producers of 'Write to Kill' Show Meet in NYC

NEW YORK CITY — Director and actress Lillee Jean Trueman was at a business meeting in New York City on Friday, September 13, 2025, with the executive producers of the upcoming book-to-TV production, Write to Kill. Trueman was joined by executive producers David P. Perlmutter, Cody Pelletier, and Laura Rene Marks-Trueman to discuss future production plans for the highly anticipated project. Trueman is the director of the production and one of the executive producers.

The private meeting, a follow-up to the official August announcement in Deadline, has continued to signal the productions' active in-development status, and a strong, focused effort to bring the visionary project, under Gen Z director Trueman, to the screen. Since Lillee Jean Trueman and Laura Rene Marks-Trueman joined the production in the Summer of 2025, the project is currently focused on securing a distribution deal, bypassing any crowdfunding, a testament to the team’s confidence in the show's market value.
