Lillee Jean Trueman Nominated for Best Short Film Award For The Mission is Complete, Angelique

Lillee Jean Trueman, award-winning director, writer, producer, and actress, is proud to announce that her micro-short film, "The Mission is Complete Angelique," has been honored with a Finalist award for Best Short Film at the Chalachitra International Film Awards, with online global screenings planned for the week of October 9th, 2025.

A testament to Trueman's global reach with Angelique, her film will be featured at the West Bengal-based festival, expanding her impact across West Asian markets.

Taking place in Nandan, Kolkata's government-sponsored film and cultural hub, renowned for showcasing premier national and international cinema, this nomination will further solidify the global visual splendor of Trueman's Angelique film.

In July 2025, Trueman garnered critical acclaim and achieved international screenings, including in India, winning a Finalist award. In August 2025, she won "Award Winner" for Best Actress for The Mission is Complete, Angelique, in Nepal, at the Humro Cinema Fest.
