Lillee Jean Trueman, the Gen Z director and actor who wrote, directed, starred in, and produced the award-winning indie film The Chorus in Our Eyes in Central Park, has released a new reel.
The reel details her behind-the-scenes process, demonstrating her capacity to lead cast and crew in delivering precise performances and a cohesive narrative. The rom-com project, co-written by Trueman and award-winning actor Ken Holmes, highlights her role in both the conceptual and directorial phases.

Trueman gained international recognition by successfully sweeping the film festival circuit across three continents. These include Europe, where it was honored at the Clown International Film Festival (Paris, France) and the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (Greece); Asia, with nominations at the Spring Time International Film Festival (India) and the Global Visionaries Film Festival (Singapore); and the United States, where it was a Finalist at the Fusionfilm International Film Festival (Los Angeles, California).

Lillee Jean Trueman is a multi-award-winning actress, filmmaker, director, writer, and producer based in New York City. As a prominent Gen Z talent in the entertainment industry since 2015, she brings a distinctive vision to independent film and television, blending raw emotion with high-impact storytelling that addresses social issues and personal resilience.
A classically trained actress, and director, Trueman honed her craft at New York City's prestigious T. Schreiber Studio, studying the Meisner Technique under Nicolas Kane Landry and mastering British dialects with Page Clements. Her television credits include HBO's acclaimed period drama The Gilded Age Season 3 (HeyDay Productions / Lionsgate Great Point Studios), where she contributed to the lavish historical ensemble, and a recurring guest-star role on The FNL Network Talkshow (March–May 2024), earning a Special Achievement Honoree award in the Entertainment and Lifestyle News category from the Taste Awards.
Trueman is best known for her two-time award-winning celebrity talk show Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, which has earned honors such as Best Series and indie festival recognitions for its exclusive interviews with Hollywood legends like Don Most and Chick Allan.
Her independent filmmaking has garnered her global acclaim. Debuting in 2024, her gritty documentary Project: Bullyish (also known as Bullyish) confronts cyberstalking, criminal harassment, gang stalking, and criminal aspects of abuse. It won Best Documentary Feature at KIIFF International Film Festival (Beverly Hills), Best Documentary (Short/Narrative)/Finalist at Humro Cinema Film Fest, and Official Selection/Best Documentary Film at FilmNest International Film Festival. Her micro-short drama-thriller The Mission is Complete, Angelique (U.S. Copyright Office PA0002559617) achieved significant international success with Best Actress wins at Humro Cinema Film Fest (Nepal), Best Director honors at Elegant International Film Festival, and screenings/recognitions in India (Silverlens Film Awards, Chalachitra International Film Awards in Kolkata).
