Trueman has been enjoying significant success after the recent announcement that she will direct the TV adaptation of the book ‘Write to Kill’.
In recent weeks, as more victories have come in, Trueman has been celebrating her award-winning talk show, Lillee Jean TALKS! Live.
The popular show on the indie film circuit has featured a talent lineup that includes legends such as Donny Most (Happy Days), Neil D'Monte (Batman V Superman), Chick Allan (Gladiator), and John Callas (Bobby's World), among others.
Trueman is set to make waves with her latest micro-short, "The Mission Is Complete, Angelique"." This intriguing new project, crafted by the rising talent, is now ready for FilmFreeway submission as it gears up for the film festival circuit in 2025.
Lillee Jean Bio
Lillee Jean Trueman is a multi-award-winning actress, filmmaker, writer, and director from New York City. Lillee Jean is best known for her award-winning celebrity talk show Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, featuring beloved Hollywood stars such as Donny Most, and her award-winning sci-fi comedy film, 'The Trapper Trap - The Rise of Princess Glamourite'. Trueman won four Best Actress nominations for her performance in the rom-com 'The Chorus in Our Eyes'. She has won dozens of awards for her creative indie films and has screened abroad. Some awards include Best Actress, Best Podcast, Best Costume Design, Best Comedy Short, and Best Trailer.
Her television work includes HBO's (HeyDey Productions LLC.) "The Gilded Age" S3, as well as, a recurring guest-star role (March-May, 2024) on 'The FNL Network Talkshow' (finalist of the Taste Awards Festival Awards), where she was awarded a Special Achievement Honoree award for the Entertainment and Lifestyle News category. Trueman was announced in 2025 as the director of the book-to-TV adaptation of 'Write to Kill' with a Hollywood cast lined up, filming in London and New York.
Trueman is a highly trained actress with studies at the notable T. Schreiber Studio in New York City. She studied the Meisner Technique with Nicolas Kane Landry and various British dialects with Page Clements. Trueman was raised in New York City and is Ashkenazi Jewish and Lutheran. Her ethnicity spans Russia, Ukraine, France, England, and Germany.
