As a member of the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora, Lillee Jean Trueman’s lineage is defined by a specific historical migration from the Pale of Settlement in Eastern Europe (Korostyshev), specifically from Russia and Ukraine, to the West. Her family’s history from her mother's paternal side is rooted in the upheaval of the Russian Civil War era, beginning in 1913, which culminated in her family's drastic departure during the 1917-1918 military coups and social anarchy. Through her great-grandfather, Baruch Ben-Zion bar Moshe Halevi, she is of Halevi (Levite) descent, carrying a multi-generational legacy of religious tradition.
Trueman, in the 2024 exclusive interview with the Rabbi, discusses how her own personal encounters with organized criminal activity have reinforced her commitment to fighting the rise of antisemitic hate. Over the past years, she has meticulously archived and reported instances of hateful conduct, including the formation of targeted antisemitic edits and harassment campaigns. Lillee Jean Trueman is a multi-award-winning director, actress, filmmaker, writer, and producer from New York City. Lillee Jean is best known for her two-time award-winning celebrity talk show, Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, featuring beloved Hollywood stars such as Donny Most, and her award-winning, unique films. Trueman has globally reached markets and won several nominations for her performances in 'The Mission is Complete, Angelique', 'The Trapper Trap - The Rise of Princess Glamourite', and 'The Chorus in Our Eyes'. Trueman is also known for directing and producing the viral, award-winning documentary film, Project Bullyish, a gritty and celebrated film, debuting in 2024 in California.
Lillee Jean's current television work includes HBO's 'The Gilded Age' S3, as well as a recurring guest-star role (March-May, 2024) on 'The FNL Network Talkshow', where she was awarded a Special Achievement Honoree award for the Entertainment and Lifestyle News category.
Trueman is a trained actress with studies at the notable T. Schreiber Studio in New York City. Lillee Jean extensively studied the Meisner Technique with Nicolas Kane Landry, and various British dialects with Page Clements.
