A Director's Eye: Lillee Jean Trueman's Striking Blue Portrait Series

Actress and Director Lillee Jean Trueman in new portraits. Lillee Jean Trueman, set to direct the ‘Write to Kill’ TV adaptation, demonstrates her award-winning versatility. In recent announcements, signed on to direct the TV adaptation of the ‘Write to Kill’ book.

The popular show on the indie film circuit has featured a talent lineup that includes legends such as Donny Most (Happy Days), Neil D'Monte (Batman V Superman), Chick Allan (Gladiator), and John Callas (Bobby's World), among others.

Trueman has been developing a new micro-short called The Mission Is Complete, Angelique". This micro-short, penned by the emerging star, is prepared for FilmFreeway and is set to await Film Festivals in 2025.

Lillee Jean Bio

Lillee Jean Trueman is a multi-award-winning actress, filmmaker, writer, and director from New York City. Lillee Jean is best known for her award-winning celebrity talk show Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, featuring beloved Hollywood stars such as Donny Most.

Her television work includes HBO's (HeyDey Productions LLC.) "The Gilded Age" S3, as well as, a recurring guest-star role (March-May, 2024) on 'The FNL Network Talkshow' (finalist of the Taste Awards Festival Awards), where she was awarded a Special Achievement Honoree award for the Entertainment and Lifestyle News category. Trueman was announced in 2025 as the director of the book-to-TV adaptation of 'Write to Kill' with a Hollywood cast lined up, filming in London and New York.

Trueman is a highly trained actress with studies at the notable T. Schreiber Studio in New York City. She studied the Meisner Technique with Nicolas Kane Landry and various British dialects with Page Clements. Trueman was raised in New York City and is Ashkenazi Jewish and Lutheran. Her ethnicity spans Russia, Ukraine, France, England, and Germany.
