For months now, I have had to deal with such a loss, grieving quietly. I never viewed my boy as a "cat", but as my son. Now is the time to honor his memory, as his birthday would have been in a few weeks. Though it's October, he and I always started planning our holiday celebrations now; the loss is felt so deeply. It is with a painful heart that I share the news that my sweet boy, Theodore, has passed away over the Summer.

As many of you know, Theodore was a special part of my every breath. When I adopted him, I didn't know of his conditions, but I fell in love. I dedicated myself to giving him the best possible care. This was especially prudent as he battled a megacolon.

My baby received constant love, monthly medical check-ups, and attention, as well as, pure motherly devotion. I never once hesitated to put work on hold to be right by his side when he needed me. Earlier this summer, under the guidance of his veterinary team to ensure he was kept comfortable and free of pain, we made the heartbreaking decision to let him rest peacefully.

Navigating this loss has been deeply painful for me. Theodore was a bright songbird. He loved to chirp, sing, dance to music, and even select ornaments during Christmas. He was of another intellect. His beautiful life was filled with safety, warmth, and unconditional love.

Thank you all for always showing him so much kindness and love.

Lillee Jean (Lillee Jean Trueman) is a New York City-born actress, award-winning director, and filmmaker defined by raw, performance-driven dramatic range and gritty visual narratives.

Of Russian Ashkenazi Jewish and French descent, she represents a formidable, multi-generational industry legacy. She was raised on major studio sets by her mother, veteran Hollywood prop buyer and runner, Laura Rene Marks-Trueman (Public Enemies, Mad Men, Men in Black trilogy).
