Lillee Jean Bio
Lillee Jean Trueman (born April 18, 2001, in New York City) is an American actress, filmmaker, writer, and director. Lillee Jean is best known for her award-winning celebrity talk show Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, featuring award-winning Hollywood stars such as Don Most, and her breakout lead role as Roxie Capri in the Best Women’s Film award-winning short Miss Roxie. Her latest sci-fi comedy film, 'The Trapper Trap - The Rise of Princess Glamourite', written by herself, and featuring Puerto Rican star Edgardo Rubio, marks her noteworthy debut in the film industry, wearing the hats of director, writer, and lead star. She has won dozens of awards for her creative indie films and has screened abroad. Some awards include Best Actress, Best Podcast, Best Costume Design, Best Comedy Short, and Best Trailer.
Notable indie film award wins and nominations come from the FilmNest International Film Festival, Script Symphony Awards, CinePlay International Film Festival, Clown International Film Festival, Gothamite Monthly Film Awards, Critics' Choice International Film Festival, and Stingray International Film Festival.
Jean has written, directed, and starred in further original short comedy films, highlighting her versatility and devotion as an actress in The Chorus in Our Eyes, Peony & Violet, and The Pauper of Shoes. In addition to her movies, Jean's most recent show, 'So Lillo Qui', accentuates her skills in monologues and dialogues, reflecting her continued growth as an actress.
In 2022, 2023, and 2024, Jean appeared on the cover of commercial American ads for the Israeli brand Adah Lazorgan in partnership with family friend Guy Lazorgan and Adah, his mom. In 2024, she joined the cast of the Taste Awards Festival finalist award-winning show 'The FNL Network Talkshow' as a co-host from March to May. She won a Special Achievement Honoree award in 2024 for the Entertainment and Lifestyle News category.
Jean has trained at the prominent T. Schreiber Studio in New York City, extensively studying the Meisner Technique with Nicolas Landry, and various British dialects with Page Clements. She has also trained under Hollywood actors Michel Corbiere and Edgardo Rubio, to perfect her natural comedic talent and wide range of voiceover skills. To refine her delicate and airy voice, she underwent training in 2023, at the Liz Caplan Vocal Studio with Sheela.
Raised in New York City, she is Ashkenazi Jewish and Lutheran, and her ethnicity spans Russia, Ukraine, France, England, and Germany. Her ancestors immigrated to the United States from Europe at the turn of the century. Her mother, Laura Rene Marks-Trueman, is her manager. Trueman's prior background includes supplying small props to studios such as Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures. Her work includes Mad Men, the Men in Black trilogy, Public Enemies, Gotham, and The Alienist.
Career
Jean's passion for acting and film began at an early age when she created stop-motion films of her American Girl dolls. Along with writing the intricate character sketches and storylines, she directed, voiced, and produced the films. In school, she performed in various performances, including memorable productions such as the Nutcracker and a Wizard of Oz-themed performance. During her training, she performed ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
While continuing to audition for roles when she was 16 years old, she took her talents in writing, acting, and directing to a new level. Among the first short films she produced include Women's Makeup Throughout History (2017), an exploration of women's makeup in history, and an educational short film on plastic straws called No to Plastic Straws (2018).
In 2020, Lillee Jean produced a popular celebrity talk show webseries called Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, where she interviewed award-winning directors, acclaimed actors, and famous singers. Donny Most from Happy Days, Sony storyboard artist Neil D'Monte, Lady Clegg, and founder of Inspiring Girls Miriam González Durántez, were some of her most famous guests.
As well as her newest production, So Lillo Qui, she has created several other series that have become popular in their own right and demonstrate Jean's talent. Jean's previous work in 2022 includes Mind Over Beaute, a podcast series that encourages female empowerment, Style Your Lillee, a series where fans could select what LJ wears, and Voyager with Lillee Jean, an adventurous travel series.
Additionally, Jean directed and produced the documentary film Project Bullyish, which screened in 2024 boasting a Finalist Award from Humro Film Festival and Official Selection Award from Filmnest, screening abroad.
Achievements
She has received numerous film accolades, including six awards for The Trapper Trap: The Rise of Princess Glamourite (2024), and one Best Women's Film Award for Miss Roxie (2023). She also received one Special Achievement Honoree award from The Taste Awards for co-starring on The FNL Network Talk Show.

Jean has striking blue and green eyes with central heterochromia, which spark off her naturally quirky and witty personality. Her acting style blends several techniques, such as the Meisner Technique and Method acting, to deliver captivating performances. With her trademark expressive eyes, her style is akin to Kate McKinnon for comedy, and her dramatic abilities are similar to Jennifer Lawrence's. Jean brings a unique and engaging presence to the screen, as she continues to hone her craft with acting coach Edgardo Rubio (Los Garcias) in Miami, Florida.
Lillee Jean is actively involved in multiple projects that she passionately supports. In 2021, she raised the topic of anti-Semitism, and online bullying by authoring an Op-Ed article, based on the encounters she endured during her teenage years. In 2022, she introduced Bullyish as a dedicated platform to promote cyberbullying and cyberstalking awareness. Lillee Jean most recently has spearheaded Project Bullyish, the film, and assumed the roles of producer and writer for a film centered around the dangers of the internet.
In 2018, Choose Today, a Norway company consisting of entrepreneurs, engineers, and climate change experts, reached out to Jean to spread their message through a powerful video and photo campaign. Additionally, she joined the UNFCCC in spreading awareness about climate change through an Instagram video. As a result of this experience, she created her own Instagram account called 1Change4Change to discuss plastic pollution in the world.
In 2021 Lillee Jean teamed up with Inspiring Girls, for their #Thislittlegirlisme campaign, to inspire the next generation of young entrepreneurs. Later, she had on Miriam González Durántez for Lillee Jean TALKS! Live, to discuss female empowerment.
In 2022, Jean met with Inspiring Girls Panama to discuss female empowerment, and, a girl's power to ability and succeed. The discussion was a part of Voyager, her webseries.
